Thermodynamics and equilibrium constant

I just wanted to make sure how we can know whether it is Kc (equilibrium constant of concentrations) or Kp (equilibrium constant of pressures) which "comes out" of the equation, ΔGo=RTln(K).

Until now, I have always taken Kc when the reaction was in a solution or Kp if it was a gas. But as there is a difference between their values, I'd like to know exactly which one to take.
